MOBILITY
To attend the Désalpe de Charmey in the best possible conditions, we recommend the following two options:
1. Public transport: the preferred solution
To avoid traffic jams behind the herds and enjoy the show to the full from the roadside, opt for public transport. Take the train from Bulle to Broc village, then the bus from Broc village to Charmey. This option will allow you to get around more easily and experience the event in the most enjoyable way.
2. Car parks
If you prefer to travel by car, car parks for light vehicles will be available at the entrance to Charmey village on the Bulle side. Parking costs CHF 20 per vehicle.
In the event of rain, an emergency plan will be activated. Shuttle buses will run every 10 minutes from the hard-standing car parks at the Charmey exit towards Jaun, also at a cost of CHF 20 per vehicle.
For the best experience, plan to be in Charmey before 9.00 a.m.
We stress the importance of arriving in Charmey before 9.00 am. After this time, access to the village becomes more difficult because of the herds on the way. If you arrive before 9.00 a.m., you will have plenty of time to make yourself comfortable and watch the first herd pass by without stress or delay.
We thank you for your understanding and wish you an excellent Désalpe de Charmey!

On foot, through the Gorges of the Jogne
What better way to reach Charmey than on foot! From Broc, follow the direction of the Gorges de la Jogne and then the shores of Lac de Montsalvens.
